Yes. Unlike many dance and other athletic activities, our classes meet year round. You may sign up at any time. Please note that from time to time and due to staffing issues or low enrollment, we may have to add or drop a class from our schedule.
Yes, you may freeze your membership for a month or so at a time, although you will need to request this through the office prior to the beginning of the month in which you wish to freeze. You will not be asked to pay for that month; however, we will not be able to guarantee that the day/time your child is enrolled will be available upon your return. If you wish to keep the spot open for the month in which you will be out, you will have to continue paying for the spot, and based on availability, we will provide you with make-up times the following month. Please see the Policies page for more detailed information.
Unfortunately, this is not an option we are able to provide. The Mommy & Me class requires active involvement by the participating adult. You will need to make alternative arrangements prior to signing up for this class.
Absolutely! We have a lobby with seating and 3 large glass windows so the parents can watch their children during class. However, please note that parents are not allowed into the gym area at any time other than during Parent - Tot classes.
In our recreational classes we group the students according to their age. These classes are primarily beginner and intermediate levels. Once a student masters the skills associated with these two levels, we will invite that student to participate in one of our advanced classes. We group our advanced classes along with our team program on skill first then age if necessary.
Pre-school classes are 6:1. Parent - Tot classes are 11:1. 5+ Recreational classes are 7:1.
Recreational means non-competitive beginner and intermediate levels. These classes are designed to teach the basics of tumbling and gymnastics in an easy going, non-competitive environment.
Communicate your interest to the coaches so that they know your goals. The key elements for progressing through the sport of gymnastics are: strength, flexibility, skill and the ability to make corrections quickly. Students generally move to the next level upon a coach’s recommendation.
Encourage strength work such as basic calisthenics e.g., push-ups, sit-ups, chin-ups. Take time at home to do stretches. Coming into the gym once or twice a week and doing stretching for 10 to 15 minutes may not be enough to excel quickly.
We do not follow the school system's calendar. We close for major holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, Good Friday, Memorial Day, and Labor Day. We do not necessarily close for all national holidays. We will always advertise closures in advance on the information board in the lobby, on Facebook, and on the web site calendar. Feel free to call as we usually change our answering machine to reflect when the gym is closed for a holiday.
We will most likely have staff members available to teach classes even on snowy days, but if you are not comfortable driving in inclement weather, stay home and do a make up class at some other time.
Our tuition is based on a 48-week year (or an average of 4 weeks per month). We will never charge you more when you get five classes within a month, but we also will not pro-rate your account for gym closures due to holidays or acts of nature.
